Sargent Early Learning Center (SELC) is a cooperative learning center with a developmentally appropriate program for young children. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit center on the campus of Sargent School in Monte Vista, Colorado. We are Colorado Shines' 5 star rated program. Click here to find out more about the rating system.

At SELC, we follow the Creative Curriculum for Toddlers and Twos and the Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers  programs. We utilize Read Well for our older classes and Zoo-Phonics in our younger classes.

Our program has been developed to be a positive experience to enhance self-esteem and social skills, as well as developing motor skills and cognitive learning. These skills are developed through play, music and movement, school readiness activities, and learning centers. The children are under the guidance of trained, caring, professional staff.

SELC provides childcare for children ages 1 through 5, including preschool classrooms for children in their pre-Kindergarten year. Our yearly schedule closely follows the Sargent School district calendar. The center is a licensed facility with a maximum of 66 children.
